ATHENS — A longtime dream came true two weeks ago for Ken Landin and Janine Bennett.
That is when the beer started flowing out of the tap at the Crossroads Brewing Co. on Second Street in Athens.
Landin and Bennett have been working for years to open their own brew pub, and they accomplished that earlier this month when they successfully opened their tasting room, complete with their first two beers, Outrage Ale and Brady’s Bay Cream Ale.
The pair have been surprised at their early success, already going through 16 kegs as people from all across the area come to their converted opera house in the middle of the village to sample their beer and take home growlers that sell for $15 (refills are $10)……….
